Alexander Ryan finished his PhD in Aerospace Engineering as part of the Applied Plasma Physics research group at Sydney University, and has previously completed Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics. His PhD research involved Particle-in-Cell simulation of electrodeless plasma thrusters, and the development a novel helicon-based propulsion system for small satellites. Alex has worked as an Assistant Project Manager at RPSPM, primarily as a construction project management consultant in the Government, Private, and Defence sectors. His pastimes include building plasma thrusters in his backyard.
