Yoni Nazarathy is a senior lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Queensland. He specializes in stochastic operations research, scheduling, optimization, control and statistics. He is supported by two ARC (Australian Research Council) grants, supervises several research students and is an active researcher of applied probability and applied mathematics, engaging and collaborating with experts around the globe. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a software and algorithm developer in Rafael Systems (Defence Systems – Israel), where he was one of the key developers in an airborne tactical radio communication system (RAVNET 300 and related products). Currently, his research is mostly theoretical, but leverages on his industrial experience and deals with fundamental problems arising in computation, data-analysis, system’s modelling and related fields.
